RICHMOND - A Georgia-based company has acquired a Richmond facility that has been vacant for nearly 10 years and plans to set up a specialty chemical distribution operation. The Economic Development Corp. of Wayne County says Lintech International LLC is planning to invest $500,000 into renovations and improvements at the 120,000 square-foot building.

Crawfordsville 'Stellar' Project Moving Forward
The mayor of Crawfordsville says the centerpiece project of the city's Stellar Communities designation has cleared a key hurdle. Todd Barton says the city has closed on a 24,000 square-foot building which will serve as the home of Fusion 54. The facility will promote collaboration and synergy among city and county agencies who will relocate there and will include 6,000 square-feet of coworking space, as well as the Wabash College Center for Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship.

Chinese Company Adding Hundreds of Indiana Jobs
GREENFIELD - A Chinese automotive brake and suspension system manufacturer has announced plans to set up its first U.S. production facility inside Progress Park in Greenfield. BeijingWest Industries Co. Manufacturing Facility to Bring 200 Jobs to Anderson
ANDERSON - Anderson Mayor Tom Broderick says the city beat out other communities for a major investment from a Japanese company thanks to its location, work force and educational assets. NTK Precision Axle Corp. has announced plans to build a more than $100 million manufacturing facility in Anderson. The company, which also has manufacturing operations in Frankfort, says the new 300,000 square-foot facility will create nearly 200 jobs by 2021. NTK is a joint venture that includes Japan-based NTN Corp. NTN Drive Shaft Chief Executive Officer Jim Riggs says the facility shows NTN's commitment to localization of its component parts.

LEBANON -  The Lebanon Business Park has cleared a key hurdle as it looks to spark further development efforts. The CSX Select Site designation suggests the park is pre-positioned to meet manufacturers' rail and logistics needs. The designation covers 250 undeveloped acres in the park that could be directly served by rail, which park leaders say will reduce the time needed to build facilities and bring products to market. CSX partnered with Lebanon beginning in 2010 on a $4 million rail spur at the park.

Richmond Bags Blue Buffalo Boon
RICHMOND -
Connecticut-based Blue Buffalo Pet Products (Nasdaq: BUFF) has big plans in Wayne County. The company says it will invest more than $100 million to build a production and distribution facility in Richmond and create up to 165 jobs. The facility, which will be Blue Buffalo's second in the United States, will also include a research and development center.
