Renewable Energy Demonstration
Introduction |
IMPA and its member communities have developed a green technology demonstration project, which was made possible by financial assistance from a federal grant program administered by the Office of Lieutenant Governor, Office of Energy Development. The main purpose of this project is to provide member communities and consumers with examples of renewable energy technologies that are available in our area, as well as a resource for consumers looking to install renewable, on-site generation. The project is located at IMPA headquarters in Carmel, Indiana, and consists of the following systems:

All three systems are installed and fully functional at IMPA headquarters. The Solar PV and Vertical Axis Wind Turbine systems have active monitoring which allow users to view their instantaneous energy production as well as lifetime production. This project was made possible by the financial assistance from the Indiana Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Office of Energy Development.
All systems were designed and installed by ECI Wind and Solar of Fairmount, IN.
Structural design, permitting, and other various project aspects were handled and verified by Perkins VonDeylen Architects of Indianapolis, Indiana.
