During this time, agencies and other entities are making available several resources to help businesses and industries in your communities during the fallout from COVID-19. IMPA has compiled the following information regarding resources available, and will continue to update the list to keep you informed. - https://backontrack.in.gov/ppemarketplace.htm - This online hub serves as a resource for Indiana small businesses employing up to 150 associates that are in need of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure the health and safety of their workforce during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. All businesses are encouraged to first source and procure PPE on their own. This service is designed to serve as an alternate backstop for employers.
- https://www.facebook.com/business/grants?content_id=KKf6RWdyo87L7QO - Facebook is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries. This program can help with rent costs, connecting to customers and keeping your workforce going strong.
- https://www.locable.com/2020/03/13/1082/marketing-your-small-business-or-community-in-this-time-of-the-covid-19-coronavirus/ - Locable is a marketing firm that is partnering up with a number of resources to help relay some helpful tips during this time of uncertainty. Resources like marketing plans, ad implementation and local marketing are all listed on the website.
The Critical Industries Hotline is available to help guide businesses and industries with the executive order. This center, reachable by calling 877-820-0890 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, is for business and industry questions only.
- https://restoreyoureconomy.org/index.php - Restore Your Economy is providing access to a number of resources and best practice information regarding COVID-19. In addition, it is providing answers to communities disrupted by emphasizing and sharing disaster preparedness, crisis response, business continuity and recovery strategies.
- SBA Disaster Loans for Small Businesses: Indiana has secured federal disaster assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to assist small businesses impacted by COVID-19. Moreover, small business owners are now eligible to apply for a loan advance of up to $10,000. - Paycheck Protection Program: As part of the federal stimulus package, Indiana small businesses and nonprofits that maintain their payroll during the COVID-19 outbreak may apply for up to eight weeks of cash-flow assistance. If employers maintain payroll, the portion of the loans used for covered payroll costs, interest on mortgage obligations, rent and utilities would be forgiven. - Small Business Debt Relief: The Small Business Debt Relief Program, which was created to support small businesses severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, will forgive six months of payments on existing SBA non-disaster loans. Learn more about the program on the SBA’s COVID-19 resources page.
- SBA Express Bridge Loan Pilot Program: Provides up to $25,000 to businesses who have a relationship with an SBA Express Lender while waiting for decision and disbursement of Economic Injury Disaster Loans. Lenders can issue Express Bridge loans up to six months after the COVID-19 Emergency Declaration. Lenders may require a borrower to pay down or pay off the Express Bridge loan if the borrower is approved for long-term disaster financing that may be used to reimburse the Express Bridge loan. The maximum Express Bridge Loan term is 7 years.
-Treasury Employee Retention Tax Credit: Employee Retention Tax credits are available to any employer, including non-profits, whose business has been fully or partially closed as a result of COVID-19. The credit is 50 percent of qualifying wages paid up to $10,000 in total for each employee. Wages paid after March 12, 2020, and before January 1, 2021 are eligible. Wages also include a portion of the cost of employer provided health care. Eligible employers submit Form 7200.
- Cost Recovery from FEMA for Utilities COVID-19 Related Expenses - This one-pager was developed by Ernst & Young (EY) intended to help utilities navigate the process of recovering costs from the Federal Emergency Management Administration related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- https://www.uschamber.com/coronavirus?es_p=11251762 – The U.S. Chamber is working closely with the White House, U.S. government agencies, and foreign government officials to inform and equip businesses with the most important and up-to-date information to prevent the spread of the virus and prepare businesses for the near and long-term impact. This site allows for those to get advice on business response, economic impact, and other resources and guidelines.
- https://www.sba.gov/disaster-assistance/coronavirus-covid-19 The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering designated states and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus.
- https://www.in.gov/dwd/19.htm -The Indiana Department of Workforce Development upgraded their website to include the latest information on unemployment during COVID-19. This includes resources to apply for unemployment, workers compensation, and any frequently asked questions regarding unemployment.
- https://www.in.gov/gov/3232.htm Governor Eric Holcomb delivered a statewide address to order that Hoosiers remain in their homes except for essential activities. Click the link to see frequently asked questions and their answers.
- https://www.iedc.in.gov/response -The Indiana Economic Development Corporation is working with the State of Indiana and the Indiana State Department of Health to closely monitor the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and to continue supporting and providing resources for businesses in partnership with local and regional organizations across the state.
- https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus -The IRS has established a special section focused on steps to help taxpayers, businesses and others affected by the coronavirus. This page will be updated as new information is available.
- https://www.in.gov/cct/2564.htm -The State of Indiana has a list of supplementary resources stemming from co-learning and best practice conversations taking place with partners across the state.
- https://www.mainstreet.org/howwecanhelp/resourcecenter/covid19resources - Main Street America is frequently updating this website specifically regarding resources for those effected by COVID-19. CDC Resources, SBA resources, US Department of Labor employment resources and US Chamber of Commerce business resources are all offered on the website.
- https://www.in.gov/ihcda/4067.htm - Indiana has received approximately $17 million through the CARES Act to help with energy assistance. The funding is available to people not usually eligible for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) program, including those laid off due to COVID-19.
- The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) will host two live webinars for Hoosiers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. These webinars will cover unemployment eligibility requirements, the formula, amounts dispersed, frequently asked questions and how to apply for benefits.
