As this holiday season comes and goes, IMPA extends warm wishes to you and your family. We are truly thankful for the trust that our members and the utility customers of our 61 member communities place in us and local utilities to keep homes, businesses, and communities powered every single day.
2025 brought meaningful accomplishments for IMPA. Our combustion turbine teams experienced historical run times to support the PJM system contributing to keep our members powered affordably, and our solar team brought three more parks located in Tipton, Veedersburg, and Winamac. In Richmond, we commissioned a battery storage project at the Richmond 6 Solar Park, which will allow us to bring economic value while evaluating the effectiveness of the technology and its applicability for future projects. IMPA’s CEO also participated in the Indiana Energy Growth Task Force developed by Governor Braun to create an energy growth plan in Indiana. Our Safety Program, Apprenticeship Program, and monthly workshops continued to help our members grow and further their professional development, while our economic development sales trips enabled communities to tout the benefits of Indiana public power.
These milestones are just a few of the many achievements IMPA made throughout the year in collaboration with its members and partners. Each of these projects contributes to the Agency’s overall mission of providing a low-cost, reliable, and environmentally responsible power supply. With the help of our communities, our employees, and partners across the Midwest, we wrap up another year providing these services, all in support of our members, their communities, and their power supply.
