The Indiana Municipal Power Agency works with members and utility personnel to provide up-to-date information on topics of importance to municipal electric communities.

The Indiana Municipal Power Agency works with our members and other industry personnel to keep abreast of topics relevant to public power and other industry-related issues.

The Agency produces the Municipal Power News for member communities, a periodic newsletter customized with news and happenings for each member city and town.  Additionally, the Agency distributes the bi-monthly IMPA Wire publication containing IMPA-specific and industry news.

IMPA proposing average 5.25% decrease in wholesale rates for 2018

CARMEL, IN – For a second consecutive year, 61 communities in Indiana and Ohio will see a decrease in their wholesale electric rates in 2018 if rates proposed by the Indiana Municipal Power Agency (IMPA) are approved by the Agency’s Board of Commissioners.
