Companies Bringing Jobs to Anderson

10/16/2017

ANDERSON - Three long-vacant buildings in Anderson will soon have new life and house hundreds of new jobs. Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report three companies will next month present tax abatement requests to the Anderson City Council.

The majority of the jobs are expected to come from Alexandria-based Kleenco. The company plans to invest more than $515,000 to expand operations into the former Weidner Chevrolet and AutoWorld building, creating 220 jobs by 2020, according to the publication.

Kleenco currently employs 156 in Indiana and will maintain its presence in Alexandria. President Noah Rosen says the maintenance and construction company is finalizing plans for the facility, which will house offices and shops.

FF&S Inc. is investing $3.3 million to consolidate its warehouse and corporate offices in Noblesville into a vacant building in the Flagship Enterprise Center in Anderson. The printing company plans to add 10 employees to its current roster of 37.

The council will also consider a tax abatement request for the opening of a Chinese restaurant in the former Rax building in downtown Anderson. The restaurant plans to hire six employees with plans to open in November.

The Anderson City Council will consider the tax abatement requests at its meeting November 9.
